On Friday Bob, Joe and I will be returning to Ghana. This is a church planting mission. We have the opportunity to work with and train many church planters.

There are all kinds of great questions floating around The Well that deserve an intelligent answer. Some of them are basic, some very difficult. So we have decided to post them on a blog and let you have a whack at them.

Every month we will post another “God Question.” This can be a topic of discussion at your church or something you ponder and research on your own. At the end of each month we will attempt to offer our answer. These answers will either be a written response on the blog or a podcast that you can listen to over the Internet.

You can also submit your own question and we will do our best to answer it. Of course, only serious and intelligent questions will be considered. But before you submit a question here pray that God will lead you to the answer. Then take it to your church and prayerfully ask God to show your whole group the answer, if you are still unsure about it then send it on over.

And so it begins…

Welcome to the Wellblog. The Well is a church that has a long legacy. It began over 50 years ago as the First Baptist Church of La Habra, California. Since it’s beginning this church has met in many locations, had many pastors and seen hundreds of people come and go. It almost died a few years ago.

Recently there has been a spiritual overhaul going on here. The Holy Spirit has brought in a group of Christians who have a new vision for the future of The Well. This vision is radical and dangerous and some think we’re crazy. But we believe that what we are doing is from God.

A few months ago a young Chinese man named David Do started coming to The Well. He has been break-dancing since he was 14. Over the past couple of years he’s organized some impressive break-dancing events. This weekend David will be hosting Top Dog, a two-day break-dancing competition in downtown L.A. The Well will be there Sunday morning to provide a free breakfast and worship service. David is predicting around 2000 people at this event. Check back next week to see how it went.
